A picture of the new Hyundai ix35/Tucson has been released ahead of the car’s debut at the Geneva Motor Show. It is not a facelift as such, but more of a refresh. More changes have happened in terms of efficiency and technology than styling, which is fair enough because the ix35 is a young design.
It probably can soldier on for a few more years without the need for a major makeover. The new ix35 comes with revised front grille and new Bi-Xenon headlamps featuring LED daytime lights. It also seems to have some new chrome work, and a few interior upgrades including the use of higher quality materials.
As for the technicalities, the new ix35’s Nu 2.0-liter GDI petrol engine is tweaked to deliver better efficiency and more power, while the diesel unit now benefits from the LP-EGR system to burn the lower the emissions. Last but not least, the car gets the FLEX STEER driving system with different settings including sport, comfort, and normal.
