Subaru WRX concept 1 545x313 at Subaru WRX Concept Officially Unveiled

We’ve already seen the Subaru WRX Concept in leaked pictures, but now the official material is out and they give us a detailed look at the car. The WRX Concept is quite an important car, as it can be the next Subaru Impreza; a benchmark in affordable performance class.

The design of the concept is of course exaggerated for the sake of the show, but the profile of the car and the overall shape of the grille, the lights, and the bumpers are expected to make it into the final version. It would be great if Subaru take a brave pill and put the concept into production they way it is!

The WRX Concept looks very muscular, what with massively flared wheelarches, sculpted side skirts, and an imposing grille. The car is designed to look fast even when standing still. When you look at the side profile it seems the car is itching to be unleashed. That’s cool.

Subaru has not totally discarded their traditional cues though. The signature hood scoop is still there, and so is the flat bottom. The concept looks promising. Let’s hope it survives the transition into reality without too much damage.
