Mercedes-AMG announced the official European pricing of the new A45 AMG hot hatch, and the C63 AMG Edition 507 special edition. The A45 comes in two normal and Edition 1 version, while the C63 Edition 507 is available as sedan, coupe and estate.
The highly anticipated A45 AMG is powered by a 2.0 liter turbo engine developing 265 kW (360 hp) and a peak torque of 450 Newton metres while consuming just 6.9 litres of petrol per 100 kilometres. It also features a four-wheel-drive system which gives it outstanding traction that enables the 0-100 km/h sprint to be completed in 4.6 seconds. It’s the mac daddy of all hot hatches, which is why it costs so much.
The normal A45 AMG starts at €49,682.50, while the Edition 1 model – featuring stuff like an aero kit, sport suspension, larger wheels and brakes and special interior (Read more about it here: Mercedes A45 AMG Edition 1) – kicks off at a whopping €56,977.20.
As for the Mercedes C63 AMG Edition 507, it gets a tweaked version of the good old 6.2 liter V8 that makes 373 kW (507 hp). This model accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds in Saloon or Coupé version and in 4.3 seconds in the Estate, and has a limited top speed of 280 km/h. The 507 comes as standard with AMG Driver’s package (Read more about this car here: Mercedes C63 AMG 507).
