Suzuki finally took the wraps off its sporty new concept, the Authentics. Unveiled at the Shanghai Auto Show, the concept car previews a new C-Segment sedan designed to the specifications of the Chinese market.
In designing the Authentics Suzuki decided to ignore the usual rules of making of a four-door family sedan and went for a more exciting look with lowered ride height, a lot of curves and fancy lines and aerodynamic shapes that compromise a bit on the practicality, but look quite good.
The car also boasts a long wheelbase, being a China-exclusive model and all, but the looks can very well influence the next generation Kizashi. Suzuki expects the production version to start by the end of 2014 at its joint venture in China, Chongqing Changan Suzuki Automobile Co., LTD.
The joint venture will also produce a Chinese-spec version of the SX4 S-CROSS at the end of this year.
