The new 2014 Acura ILX sedan will go on sale in America from tomorrow, sporting a price tag of $26,900 for the base model. That is exactly a grand higher than the old model, but then with the new ILX you get more car with enhanced features and specifications.
The highlights of the 2014 ILX include new leather seating surfaces and leatherette door liners, an eight-way power driver’s seat, heated front seats and a Multi-Angle Rearview Camera, better ride with 17-inch wheels, and a new audio-system subwoofer and an Active Noise Cancellation (ANC).
You can have the Acura ILX with two engines; a 150 hp 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder mated to a Sequential SportShift 5-speed automatic transmission, with economy ratings of 24/35/28 mpg city/highway/combined, or a 201 hp 2.4-liter unit coupled to a close-ratio, six-speed manual transmission. The latter returns 22/31/25 mpg. Later in the year Acura will also laucnh a hybrid version of the ILX.
