The Goodwood Festival of Speed is not yet over but Aston Martin is already planning for the next big motoring event they are going to take part in. It is the 2013 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in America, and in may ways it is a far more important event for Aston than Goodwood FoS.
At Pebble Beach Aston Martin will celebrate, again, its centenary year, and will host the debut of two hot new models, including the 2014 Vanquish Volante and the 2015 V12 Vantage S, while the CC100 Speedster Concept will make its first appearance in the America. A pretty powerful lineup then; one that can alone carry the weight of the whole show.
The new Vanquish Volante is going to melt the hearts and souls of visitors by its natural beauty and sheer sexiness, with some serious power sprinkled on top for good measure. It certainly isn’t the best car in its class, but it damn sure is the most desirable.
As for the V12 Vantage S, as the fastest-accelerating Aston this side of the One-77, the car is more focused on performance than anything else. Being a Vantage, it is quite a looker as well, especially with the little “S” details such as blacked-out panels, wheels, and lights.
The highlight of Aston’s program will be the CC100 Speedster Concept; a two-seater speedster race car concept designed to both mark the 100th anniversary of the brand, and pay homage to the company’s glorious past and their motorsport roots.
