Honda went to enormous length to come up with a fitting tribute to the greatest Formula One driver of all time, Ayrton Senna. Using driving data left by Senna during his fastest qualifying lap the 1989 F1 Japanese Grand Prix qualifying, Honda recreated the engine sound that filled the circuit that day.
They also recreated the position of Senna’s Honda McLaren MP4/5 on the track using a number of very sophisticated lights. Check it out in the video below:

This is one of the greatest tribute videos we’ve ever seen. What’s amazing about it is that there are no words. We’ve all heard the stories and know how great Senna was. But here, they let the sound of that awesome engine do the talking. And you know what, there is more emotion in that than in a thousand words. Hats off.
