Following their first announcement about a full-on tuning package for the new Corvette Stingray, famous American tuner Hennessey Performance now reveals further technical details of the program. They offer 600, 700, 800, and a full 1000 horsepower kits for the Stingray.
The HPE1000, which is obviously the most interesting one, includes a heavy engine treatment that consists of a twin-turbo system, forged pistons, steel rods and crankshafts, high flow cylinder heads, custom HPE camshafts, stainless steel inlet piping, dual wastegates, electronic boost controller, air-to-air intercooler, and dual air induction filters.
Add to that list a bespoke engine management system, stainless steel turbo downpipes and exhaust system, and there you have it – an extra 550 horsepower on top of the LT1’s standard 450.
Hennessey also offers a very nice aerodynamic body kit, as shown in these preview pictures, a set of their monoblock wheels with Michelin PSS tires, carbon ceramic brakes, Penske adjustable suspension, and a custom interior with fine leather and carbon fiber trim.
