Subaru UK announced that they have reduced the asking price for the XV crossover by £2,300, starting from July 1, bringing the starting price to £18,995. That is of course bad news for those who just bought an XV a few days ago, but new customers will enjoy greater value for money. Yo do get a lot of car for your 18 grand with the XV.
In many ways the Subaru XV is the perfect crossover for the UK. First and foremost, it is a Subaru, which means it is tough as hell. It is also a very good 4×4 with sufficient ground clearance, which considering UK’s weather is a huge plus, and it comes with a 2.0 liter diesel engine that delivers 50.4mpg (combined cycle) and 146g/km CO2. And it is now affordable a well. You can’t ask for more!
Even though the XV is a fairly capable off-roader, most buyers will use it for school run and getting groceries. They will be happy to know that this car has a five-star Euro NCAP crash safety rating combines with 90% rating for child occupant protection.
They will also be glad that it comes chock-full of features and equipment, including front, side, curtain and knee airbags, front passenger airbag auto-disable, 17-inch alloy wheels, daytime running lights, heated front seats, wiper de-icers, CD player and a comprehensive Multi-Function Display. The popular SE model also gets cruise control, folding door mirrors, dual-zone air conditioning, rear view safety camera, Bluetooth, and rear privacy glass.
