At this year’s Concorso Italiano which takes place on August 16 in Monterey, California, Fiat will reveal a new version of the 500 called the Cattiva. This limited edition is inspired by Fiat Design concepts of the 2013 NAIAS, and offers a factory-tuned look for the 500 Sport and 500 Turbo.
Cattiva is Italian for “naughty yet cool” which is what the designers intended this 500 to look like. It features an aggressive styling with blacked-out headlamp, taillamp and parking lamp bezels and unique 16-inch Hyper Nero painted aluminum wheels, as well as Nero (black) roof and rear spoiler.
The same theme applies to the interior, with Nero/Grigio (black/gray) cloth sport seats with Argento (silver) accent stitching, and Matte Nero instrument panel, and leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear knob. Leather seats are also available.
Available exterior colors include Rosso (red), Rame (copper), Nero Puro (straight black), Argento (silver), Granito Lucente (granite crystal), Bianco (white) and Luce Blue (light blue, 500 Sport only). It looks specially fine in copper, as shown in these pictures.
The 500 Cattiva is powered by the engines from the Sport and Turbo models, with the most powerful one being the Turbo unit a 5-speed manual gearbox and sport-tuned exhaust, rated at 135 hp and 150 lb-ft of torque. Pricing for the Fiat 500 Cattiva based on the 500 Sport model starts at $18,350, and for the ones based on the Turbo model, from $20,350.
