Hyundai Genesis Coupe Joins Skip Barber Fleet

2013 Genesis Coupe 600x366 at Hyundai Genesis Coupe Joins Skip Barber Fleet

Skip Barber, the most famous performance driving school in the world, announced the addition of a couple of Hyundai Genesis Coupes to its fleet. The high-performance, rear-drive Genesis Coupe 3.8 R-Spec and 3.8 Track models will be used to teach the participants how to drive like a pro.

The Genesis Coupe is the perfect car for a beginner to get to grips with the basics of high performance driving and hone their skills safely before moving to competition car. The 350 horsepower V6-powered sports coupe has one of the most fun chassis in this class with a rather loose rear-end that is very quite happy going sideways all the time. It is also relatively cheap, which considering the punishment it receives in a driving school, is a huge plus point.

The Genesis Coupe will join cars like the Porsche 911 Carrera, Mazdaspeed3 and Lexus IS-F at Skip Barber Racing School program, which includes events at Lime Rock, Road Atlanta, and Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. Skip Barber offers a variety of driving environments, such as autocross, skid pad, threshold braking zones and world-class race tracks.

“All of us at Skip Barber Racing School are honored to be partnering with Hyundai on our High Performance Driving School”, said Michael Culver, CEO of Skip Barber Racing School. “The Genesis Coupe is sure to capture the enthusiasm of our passionate customers.”
