Hyundai’s A-segment contender, the i10, is getting a proper overhaul after five long years of presence in the European market. And the replacement model, shown here in these first official pictures, offers not only an updated design, but improved refinement and driving experience.
The i10 better delivers on those promises because the segment is full of very nice cars with competitive prices. The new models is longer and wider than its predecessor, which means it offers better interior space. Front and rear passengers benefit from combined legroom of 1,890mm, while boot capacity has been boosted by more than 10% to 252 liters with all seats in place. It is a bit lower, though, than the old one.
Detailed specs are yet to be announced, but Hyundai says the new i10 comes with a long list of features and equipment, including automatic climate control, heated leather steering wheel and cruise control with speed limiter. In terms of safety, it gets standard-fitment stability control and front curtain airbags.
Further details will be revealed closer to Frankfurt Motor Show, where the i10 makes it public debut.
