Jaguar XJ220 is regarded amongst the fans of classic motoring as one of the all time greats. The fact that these days a good example sells for up to $300K tells you all you need to know. That makes the XJ220 a perfect car for a TaxTheRich video!
These are the same guy that once hooned a Roller Phantom, went rallying with a Ferrari Enzo, and damn nearly destroyed a Lamborghini Gallardo in the dirt. This time they go birdwatching in the farm with Jaguar XJ220.Things are about to get very sideways:
The XJ220 was initially designed to run a 6.2 L V12. But it had been judged too difficult to get past increasingly strict emission regulations. So the finished product got a 3.5 L V6 based on the engine used in the Austin Metro 6R4 rally car and fitted with twin Garrett T3 turbochargers, generating 542 bhp (404 kW; 550 PS) of maximum power at 7000 rpm and 476 lb·ft (645 N·m) of torque at 4500 rpm. No wonder then it swings around this field like it’s nobody’s business. That 220 in the car’s name refers to its top speed of 220mph.
