Land Rover revealed a new version of its Discovery SUV as the 2014 modelyear, featuring an update design; improved comfort, features and fuel economy; and a new Discovery badge. The 2014 Land Rover Discovery Facelift will launch as the SDV6 model with 3.0 liter V6 diesel engine.
The new ‘face’ of the 2014 Discovery is the result of redesigned front grille, bumper, headlights, new daytime running lights with a distinctive LED signature, plus two new alloy wheel designs. further customization is possible via the Black Design Pack, which includes 20-inch wheels.
What’s more, on the front of the 2014 Land Rover Discovery Facelift you no longer see a ‘Land Rover’ badge, but a ‘Discovery’ one. This seemingly small change gives the car a unique character.
As for the economy, a number of fuel saving measures have been taken for the 256PS and 600 Nm 3.0 SDV6 to run more efficiently. Equipped with a ZF 8-speed transmission, the car’s CO2 emissions is reduced from 230g/km to 213g/km, and fuel consumption improved to 35.3mpg.
2014 Land Rover Discovery Facelift also comes with a number of new features, chief among which Wade Sensing (a technology unique to Land Rover), Blind Spot Monitoring, Closing Vehicle Sensing, Reverse Traffic Detection and T-junction Cameras. It also gets a top-notch Meridian audio system, usually reserved for Range Rovers.
