British model and Jaguar enthusiast David Gandy is the star of the latest Jaguar F-Type promo clip, called Escapism. As the name suggests, it has to do with the inspiration you get from a proper sports car to get up in the middle of the night, and go on a road trip just to escape from the hassles of big city life.

It’s all nice and well, but only if, like Gandy, you look good in a drop-top sports car, and, like him, you are on your way to meet a lovely girl. Otherwise, you have to wander around for a while, burn some fuel, and go back to your sad life in the morning!

In the film, Gandy gives us insight into his life as he invites us on a road trip that starts at dusk as he escapes ‘the craziness of London’. David Gandy: Escapism features the style icon driving his favourite British heritage cars from the C-Type, E-Type and XKSS, through to the very latest F-TYPE. Gandy discusses his passion for driving; “that feeling of freedom, just you and the car” and how driving is his ‘meditation’. Throughout, he wears the same Persol sunglasses as one of his icons, Steve McQueen, who famously owned a Jaguar XKSS.
