The Carrera 4 version of the Porsche 911 is commonly known as the benign 911 for the doctors and businessmen who want the thrill of a proper sports car, but are not very confident with their driving skills. The four-wheel-drive security is what sets it apart.
Now Techart decided to boost the sense of thrill and excitement for the owners of the Porsche 991 Carrera 4, but within the confinements of the standard car. So while you do get a racy body kit, large wheels, and a sport exhaust system, this car is not much faster than the standard C4S.
The styling treatment is pretty substantial. It begins with a carbon fiber hood and lip spoiler, and continues with a pair of side skirts, rear diffuser and muffler, and Techart’s rear spoiler in version I and II. The difference between them is in the amount of downforce they produce.
The car is also fitted with a sport exhaust system with valves and stuff in it, which means it is silent unless you flick a switch inside the cabin, in which case it barks. Techart 991 Carrera 4 also has a suspension lift system for the nose with automatic return above 60 km/h. The choice of wheels for this car is Formula IV 5-twin-spoke models. But you can also go for the Formula III forged wheels.
Techart also offers an interior treatment including a substantial amount of leather, Alcantara, and carbon fiber, garnished with unique upholstery, contrast stitching, and the tuner’s logo.
