Wheel makers always have a big presence at the SEMA show, and they often bring beautifully tuned cars along featuring their latest wheel models. This year HRE Wheels is stepping its game, showcasing their rims on a restomoded 70’s Camaro.
It is actually more than just a restomod, as the Camaro in question packs a whopping 1,200 horsepower. HRE has teamed up with Nelson Racing to provide them with that firepower. We don’t know yet what kind of engine they’ve used for this project, but it’s definitely very big.
As you can see in this rendering of the Retro Camaro by HRE Wheels, they decided to keep the car’s fabulous classic looks, and just add subtle touches of modernity in form of a carbon fiber front spoiler, a carbon vented bonnet, and a carbon decklid spoiler at the back.
The suspension is also replaced with a modern system, and lowered just to the right height to complement the wheels. We also reckon there is a bespoke interior treatment with lots of leather, carbon fiber, and a superb entertainment system.
