The new Hyundai Tucson, or ix35 in Europe and Asia, has undergone some changes for its 2014 modelyear in order to become more refined and more enjoyable to use. What’s more, the value is boosted as well, by adding new engines and more standard equipment.
Available powertrains for the car include the 2.0-liter Nu and 2.4-liter Theta II GDI inline four-cylinder engines replace Multi Port Injection (MPI) engines. They bring the performance of the little Tucson to the same level as its big brother, the Santa Fe. 2014 Hyundai Tucson also comes with all-new standard SACHS Amplitude Selective Damping (ASD) for optimum ride, handling and driving comfort.
Exterior and interior enhancements include projector headlights with LED accents and LED taillights, panoramic roof, and new 17-inch (standard) and 18-inch (optional) alloy wheel designs on the outside, and 60/40 split rear seats, new colors, telescopic steering, steering-wheel mounted audio and cruise controls, and illuminated cup holders on the inside.
As for the new features, the 2014 Hyundai Tucson gets Standard Blue Link and Hyundai Assurance Connected Care on Tucson Limited; Third generation navigation with larger seven-inch touchscreen and HD Radio technology; Standard Bluetooth hands-free phone system; and 4.3-inch color LCD touchscreen audio with rearview camera.
