Chrysler announced the launch of the new 2014 Jeep Wrangler Polar Edition, unveiled earlier this year at the Frankfurt Motor Show, in the North American market next month. November launch of the Polar Edition celebrates the arrival of the cold season.

Happily, the Jeep Wrangler Polar Edition is well-prepared for winter. Apart from the blue paint job and the fender badge that exhibits the 78° S and 106° E coordinates of the North Pole, the car is fitted with Dana 30 front axle and powerful Dana 44 rear axle, as well as Trac-Lok anti-spin rear differential with an available electronic locking differential.

Power is supplied by Pentastar 3.6-liter V-6 engine that delivers 285 hp and 260 ft.-lbs. of torque and is paired to a standard six-speed manual or an available five-speed automatic transmission. If you drive carefully, 21 mpg is possible.

The Wrangler Polar Edition also features body-color hardtop with deep-tint sunscreen glass and 18-inch gloss black wheels. Inside the cabin, high-gloss Ceramic White and surrounding a blue instrument background with “Polar” logo, Mopar tread-pattern, and black leather seats are among the main highlights.

As for the standard features, you get automatic climate control, leather-wrapped steering wheel with integrated controls, heated front seats, height-adjustable driver seat, Electronic Vehicle Information Centre (EVIC) and cruise control. Pricing for the American market is yet to be revealed.
