Porsche revealed the latest and most powerful version of the Panamera facelift. It’s the Panamera Turbo S which is for those who may find the normal Turbo just a tad slow. This one boasts a power output of 570 hp and features revised dynamics for even more savage performance.
There is also 750 Nm of torque which rises to over 800 Nm thanks to the new overboost function. Porsche Panamera Turbo S is a big and hefty car, and so all the numbers about it are big. All except for the acceleration and fuel consumption. It averages 27.7 mpg (UK), which is great for a car that goes from 0 to 62 mph in 3.8 seconds and can reach a top speed of 192 mph.
Some say that the Turbo S is just a normal Panamera Turbo with added turbo pressure. But there is more to it. The S features different Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) than the Turbo, and comes with Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV) Plus. We should also mention the Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) as standard feature, which is necessary to stop this beast.
That is all to ensure the performance of that V8 engine is used in the most efficient way to deliver mind-blowing performance. But Porsche Panamera Turbo S is still a Gran Turismo at heart, and it is packed with luxury features, including 20-inch diameter alloy wheels, full leather interior, automatic climate control, Bi-Xenon headlights, Porsche Communication Management (PCM) satellite navigation system, DAB digital radio with Bose Surround Sound, Bluetooth telephone module with cordless handset, front and rear seat heating, rear passenger side airbags, a universal audio interface offering MP3 connectivity, and a three year warranty.
Prices for the 2014 Porsche Panamera Turbo S start from £131,049 in the UK and $180,300 in the US. The US model can be had with the Executive package, in which the case the MSRP goes up to $200,500.
