Hyundai has a habit of milking every publicity opportunity they get for all it’s worth. So here’s the third Zombie Survival Machine they have come up with to celebrate the partnership The Walking Dead. The fan-designed car is built by Galpin Auto Sports (GAS) based on a Santa Fe.
The Hyundai Santa Fe Zombie Survival Machine was picked from more than 82,500 fan submissions. It is designed by Anson Kuo with only one goal in mind: undead annihilation. The car is guaranteed to set the pants of all the nerds on fire at this year’s New York Comic Con on October 10.
At this point zombie enthusiasts are dying to know what sort of weaponry this Santa Fe is equipped with. Well, it has knife blades, an automatic crossbow, razor-wired windows, three machine guns, a samurai sword, aluminum armor and a muffler silence. Since nerds are naturally paranoid, the car is designed to be stealthy, and to hold a lot of life sustaining supplies.
“We love Anson Kuo’s take on this Santa Fe Zombie Survival Machine – it’s creative… and deadly,” said Steve Shannon, vice president, Marketing, Hyundai Motor America. “With help from the popularity of The Walking Dead franchise, Hyundai continues to expand the conversation around Hyundai vehicles with young and passionate audiences.”
