Following a leak last week, the first official pictures of the Lamborghini Veneno Roadster have now become available, showing this off the hook mad car in greater detail. Those who have studied the hard top Veneno will quickly notice that this is exactly the same car with some removable panels as instead of the roof.

They also know that the Lamborghini Veneno Roadster is a standard Aventador underneath, with a 700 horsepower V12, a brutal single-clutch transmission and four-wheel-drive. That begs the question, is the body work really worth the extra $4.2 million USD Lamborghini is asking for this car?

Well, if you have that kind of money lying around and you like super exclusive stuff, then it probably is. According to Lambo boss they will only make 9 units of this car, sold only to the most special Lamborghini friends.

Despite being technically identical to the Aventador, the Lamborghini Veneno Roadster is a tad faster than its biological father as the new carbon body is slightly lighter. It can do 355 km/h with the top off. But with a car like this performance does not really matter. It is all about the crazy looks, and the fact that if you own one you join one the world’s most exclusive clubs with only eight other members.
