Lamborghini CEO did promise the launch of a roadster version of their mad Veneno model a while ago, and looks like the time has come. These leaked pictures show a roofless Veneno which seems to be the real thing. And it looks, well, even madder than before.
Just like the hardtop Veneno which is based on the Aventador, the Veneno is based on the roadster version of that car, which means you get a manually removable carbon fiber roof. That’s a bit disappointing for a car that costs nearly $5 million USD. The hardtop ran for $4.5 million, so we took an educated guess there! It may cost even more than that.
The production of Lamborghini Veneno Roadster is said to be limited to nine units, which is a lot more than the production run for the hardtop version. Only four of that car have reportedly been made.
Apart from the wonderfully bonkers looks, the Lamborghini Veneno Roadster is identical to the Aventador in terms of performance. You get a 700 horsepower V12, a single-clutch transmission, and a four-wheel-drive system, the combination of which propel you from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, and on to a top speed of 350 km/h.
