Porsche released a new video of its 918 Spyder hyper car, which true to the form of a promotional clip, boasts about the car’s superior technologies. The only difference is that this one is aimed at the nerds, engineers, and the fans of facts and figures.

They reveal stuff about the 918’s hybrid system, suspension, brakes, chassis and the overall design that we didn’t realize we need to know about. In truth, we still don’t need to know this info, but they may give you an edge in a pub argument or something. So, hit it:

Just as a quick recap, Porsche 918 Spyder has a race-bred V8 petrol engine from the RS Le Man Racer, coupled with two electric motors. The all-wheel-drive system packs a total 887 horsepower, which translates into a 0 to 100 km/h time of 2.8 seconds, and a top speed of – based on Porsche’s latest calims – 345 km/h.

The most astonishing figure about the 918, however, is its 70+ mpg fuel economy. It is even more surprising than the car’s price tag, which is awfully close to one million dollars.
