From spring 2014 Fiat will launch a very unique special edition version of the 500 in America inspired by the original Cinquecento from 1957. Aptly named Fiat 500 1957 Edition, the car gets three classic exterior colors, 1957-era wheel design, Bianco-painted roof and vintage “FIAT” emblems pay homage to the historic Fiat “Nuova” 500.
The most classic of the available exterior colors is the Celeste (celestial blue) paired with a signature Bianco painted roof and mirror caps. You can also chose Bianco (white), or for a bi-color look, Verde Chiaro (light green). A set of 16-inch retro wheel design with a wide chromed lip, body-color accent and large center cap with historic “FIAT” emblem complete the look.
Inside the cabin you find premium Marrone (brown) leather seats complemented with Avorio accent stitching. Contrasting features continue with Grigio (grey) door panels and Marrone armrests and shift booth. You also get an exclusive Avorio leather-wrapped steering wheel hand-stitched with Marrone leather.
Fiat 500 1957 Edition is powered by the 1.4-liter MultiAir engine and C514 five-speed manual transmission, which does 31 mpg. You also get a sport drive mode setting and an optional six-speed automatic transmission. Pricing will be announced closer to launch.
