SEMA show would feel empty without at least a dozen custom Camaro models scattered all over the place. So here’s GM’s own official lineup, consisting of fine works based on the COPO, Z/28, V6 and V8 models.
Chevrolet Performance parts and accessories have prepared a Camaro V8 concept that is rather interesting. It features Z/28’s performance exhaust and ZL1’s brakes, and styling bits from the department catalog, including blacked-out badges, mirrors and rear diffuser, rear spoiler, hood louver, Chevrolet Accessories 45th anniversary wheels in black as well as Black grille, RS headlamps and taillamps, Chevrolet Performance armrests, door sills, pedal kit, floor mats and ambient lighting kit, as well as Recaro seats and performance pedals.
The same guys have prepared a Camaro V6 concept as well, featuring Brembo brake kit from the Camaro SS, Camaro 1LE suspension kit, Camaro 1LE strut tower brace, Borla performance exhaust system, and 20-inch black wheels (45th anniversary design). The car also gets Chevrolet Accessories grille, front splitter and rear spoiler, along with “Chevrolet Performance” graphics.
One of the most interesting custom cars at Chevy’s booth is this one, the 2014 Spring Special Edition. This is a limited production car based on the Camaro SS convertible, and it features Summit White exterior with Blue Ray stripe, ZL1 spoiler, Ground Effect package and grille, RS lights, 21-inch wheels, blue fabric top on convertible models and blue-accent leather-appointed interior with blue stitching.
Garage Camaro concept is next up, and it is a track-oriented car, incorporating performance and suspension components from the all-new Z/28 – and a few from the ZL1. So you get Chevrolet Accessories rear spoiler and grille, RS headlamps and taillamps, blacked-out mirrors and rear diffuser, and Chevrolet Accessories satin-black 10-spoke Track Pack wheels. “Chevrolet Performance” graphics adorn the rockers and windshield header. There is also ZL1 brakes and Z/28 exhaust as well as high performance suspension.
Chevrolet Performance’s COPO Camaro and The production Camaro Z/28 will also be present at the Chevy’s stand in unique colors and trims.
