Being a huge McLaren fan, and one of their most high profile customers, Jay Leno was invited to spend a day with McLaren crew as they took over the brand-new Circuit of the Americas in Texas for the McLaren Day event. This also gives Jay an opportunity to take a closer look at America’s new F1 venue.

In this video JL first takes us around the Circuit of the Americas and reveals fresh details about it as he interviews the track’s designer, before diving into the world of McLaren.

Jay is joined by McLaren F1 race cars with test driver Oliver Turvey who explains the virtues of his 2011 F1 show car that puts on a good show on the Texan track. For his turn Leno takes to the track in the MP4-12C super car, which he owns. This won’t be the last McLaren material to be released by Jay Leno’s Garage over the next few weeks, as he is one of the first customers of the P1 hyper car and his car will soon be delivered. Jay’s too generous not to show that to us!
