Thanks to a leaked Chinese document we get to know about the new Porsche Macan’s performance and specs ahead of its official debut in Los Angeles next week. The new baby Cayenne will launch in three Macan S, Macan S Diesel, and Macan Turbo guises, all powered by V6 engines.  

The Macan S Diesel is the weakest of them all, boasting 258 hp, but it packs a healthy sum of torque: 580 Nm. The Macan S petrol comes with 340 hp and 460 Nm, which is pretty decent, but if you want performance you ought to get the Macan Turbo which has a full 400 horsepower and 550 Nm of torque.

Weighing near as makes no difference 2,000 kg, the Porsche Macan is a bit too chunky for a crossover vehicle. But that weight helps it become tougher and more versatile. Thanks to those brilliant engines the performance is not affected by the hefty weight of the vehicle.

The Macan S accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds and reaches a top speed 250 km/h. The Macan Diesel does that in 6.2 seconds and reaches 226 km/h, and the Macan Turbo in an astonishing 4.5 seconds with a top speed of 269 km/h.
