Exciting stuff is going on with this year’s Tokyo Motor Show; especially with Toyota. They have the sedan version of the GT86 sports car coming to the show, they have the new Lexus RC Coupe, and they have this, an updated version of the LF-NX.
Lexus LF-NX was first unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show, and everybody hated it, because, well, it’s hideous. Now Lexus has updated this concept, it’s not the looks they’ve updated. They just fitted a 2.0 liter turbocharged four-banger under the bonnet. This means the NX is inching closer to production.
Looks aside, the LF-NX is a damn good car underneath. The new four-cylinder engine is very fuel-efficient, and it gives the car a low center of gravity, which in turn give the NX great handling – well, great for a crossover.
The car is also blessed with lots of advanced technologies, including a Remote Touch Interface controller with a new touchpad function. This could also be used in other upcoming production models.
