Opel revealed the official pricing of its new drop-top and turbocharged Astra in the European market. The new Astra convertible, as you probably know, is called the Cascada now, and it’s a lovely car, especially in this turbocharged format boasting 200 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque.
Powered by a new 1.6 ECOTEC turbo engine, the 2014 Opel Cascada Turbo starts at 29,490 Euro. For that you get an elegant soft-top on top of a 2+2 that can be opened or closed in 17 seconds, while on the move up to 50 km/h. You also get a good compromise between performance and fuel economy, with an average consumption of 6.7 liters per 100 km, CO2 emissions of 15g/km, and top speed of 235 km/h.
In terms of features and equipment, you get Opel’s new-generation IntelliLink system with easy to use navigation, a high-resolution seven-inch display, optional rearview camera, Bluetooth phone connectivity and audio streaming. Top of the range versions also come with a voice command system.
The 2014 Opel Cascasa Turbo can be ordered with pearlescent Emerald Green lacquer or the double-layer metallic Magnetic Silver paint jobs, while the roof – featuring thermal and acoustic insulation – can be had in khaki grey.
