Up until now if you were a Mexican cartel boss and you fancied an Aston Martin, you had to go through the trouble of shipping one in from abroad – America probably. From 2014, however, you can send your henchmen to Mexico City to grab one for you at gunpoint, as the British car maker announced they are going to open their first-ever showroom in the country.
To be launched in the first quarter of 2014, Aston Martin Mexico City will feature a six-car showroom. The 4,500 sq.ft facility will also have a customer reception area and new car gallery – all finished in distinctive corporate identity. A service area will also be included.
Aston Martin Mexico City will be located in the upscale Polanco area of northwest Mexico City, and led by entrepreneurs and experienced automotive specialists, Martin Josephi and Fernando Macias. It will expand Aston’s representatives in America to 41 sites, and reinforces the brand’s position as a global player.
Julian Jenkins, Regional Director, Aston Martin The Americas said: “In the continued development of our retail network across the Americas, we have carefully considered the right locations and appropriate partners to support our growth plans.
