Well, it didn’t take long. The first pictures of the Lamborghini Gallardo replacement are just starting to make their way to the web. But already auto artists have come up with the Spider version of the car. To be more precise, what you see here is a Roadster version of the Huracan.

The real Lamborghini Huracan Spider should have a folding soft-top like its predecessor, the Gallardo Spider. This one right here has a roof arrangement like that of the Avanetador, with a removable hardtop. This solution is very cool, but it doesn’t give you the full open-top experience you get from a Spider.

Lamborghini will have a tough job converting the Huracan into a delightful Spider. With the Gallardo, the first open-top version of the car became a hit because it addressed all the issues of the hardtop. It was more exciting, louder, and crazier than the coupe, and whole lot prettier. The Huracan will probably be pretty awesome right off the bat. So the Spider needs to be something really special.
