So far we’ve only seen the Porsche 918 Spyder in either the ultra-futuristic liquid gunmetal silver thingy, or Martini racing livery. Well, there were some camouflaged versions as well, but they don’t count. Now though, Porsche has released a set of new pictures of the 918 in simple, flat yellow. And it looks stunning.

This ordinary color makes the 918 look more like a, well, car! It looks more accessible somehow like this. Porsche 918 Spyder in yellow also looks astonishingly similar to the legendary Porsche Carrera GT. Not that this is a very good thing these days, as everybody hates the Carrera GT these days because of Paul Walker’s death.

The hybrid hyper car with a V8 engine in the middle, derived from the racing engine of the RS Spyder, and a couple of electric motors is capable of developing 887 horsepower. That is an impressive number, but not as impressive as the fuel economy: 3.0 liter in 100 km, and CO2 emissions of 75 g/km. It can also go from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.6 seconds.
