Looks like Ken Block is venturing into winter sports as he unveils his latest company car, the Ford F-150 Raptor TRAX, which as the name suggests is an F-150 on track! Fully kitted-out to tackle a heavy dose of snow, the Raptor TRAX will be on display at the Winter X Games in Aspen, Colorado.
Apart from the extremely cool tracks that replace the wheels and bring their own bespoke suspension system along, this Ford F-150 Raptor TRAX – built in a joint project by Ford Special Vehicle Concepts and Hoonigan Racing – features snowboard racks at the back, winch, storage facilities inside for energy drinks, obviously, and an exterior sound system, because when you own a car like this you are going to spend more time out of it on the slopes than in it.
Being a Raptor, the truck is powered by a V8 engine which is boosted with Whipple supercharger system. The power of this engine, combined with four-track-drive makes it pretty much unstoppable.
We can’t wait to see Ken Block taking his Ford F-150 Raptor TRAX for spin. There probably won’t be much sliding about, because, well, it’s on tracks. But don’t worry, Ken will find a way to amuse us. A video of the truck is due to be released soon.
