The previous Porsche 911 GT2 (Type 997) is known as one of the wildest cars Porsche has ever made. And it probably will hold on to this title forever, as the clever stability systems and PDK transmissions keep making the new version soft and softer. This insane car has been the subject of an upgrade treatment by German tuner OK-Chiptuning.

Just about the only thing the 997 GT2 doesn’t need is more power. But OK-Chiptuning went ahead and gave it some anyway. Their plan was to bring the car up to the GT2-RS level. But they got a bit carried away and gave it 150 more horses – thanks to some high-end ECU-optimization, Akrapovic racing exhaust system including manifolds and sport catalysts, and GT2-RS intercooler – for a total of 680 horsepower. That is 60 more than the factory-standard GT2-RS.

With that kind of power Porsche 997 GT2 by OK-Chiptuning becomes a surface-to-surface missile, with a 0 to 200 km / h time of about 8.4 seconds, and 0 to 300 km/h time of 21.3 seconds. The 0 to 100 km/h time is apparently negligible!

The coolest thing about the OK-Chiptuning power kit for the Porsche 997 GT2 is the cost, which is only 3,500 Euros. If you want to spend more, they also offer a set of OZ Ultraleggera HLT 19-inch wheels with Dunlop SP Sport tires, Alcantara-wrapped interior, racing seats, and GT2-RS rear-end conversion.
