Kia GT4 Stinger Cabrio Render 600x336 at Rendering: Kia GT4 Stinger Cabrio

Every car enthusiast in the world is eagerly waiting for Kia to confirm a production version of their 2014 Detroit Motor Show concept, the GT4 Stinger sports car. But the guys at X-Tomi Design went a step further and rendered a drop-top version of the car. And it looks absolutely brilliant.

What makes the Kia GT4 Stinger such a desirable package is its blend of awesome features. The car has a perfect sports car recipe with a tout rear-drive chassis, sport suspension, great brakes, and a low, wide and compact body with space for two.

The highlight of the car, however, is the powertrain. The Stinger has a 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine with 315 horsepower, mated to a proper six-speed manual gearbox. That, combined with the rear-wheel-drive system and a limited-slip diff, is what sets a sports car apart from the norm. That is what makes them enjoyable, and therefore so precious to petrolheads.

Just about the only thing that is not very good about the Stinger is the way it looks, which is not very interesting. That issue has been addressed here in this rendering by getting rid of the roof. The Kia GT4 Stinger Cabrio looks a lot cooler than the coupe version, and it could be a deadly rival for the Mazda MX-5 – if they make it.
