At the 2014 Chicago Auto Show Hyundai revealed a new special edition version of Veloster coupe/hatchback called RE:FLEX. This car is a follow-up to the RE:MIX special edition they released last year, ad like that car, it is all about extra features.
So let’s cut to the chase and see what makes Hyundai Veloster RE:FLEX special. There isn’t much on the outside that hints at this supposed specialness, 18-inch alloy wheels with a PVD chrome finish, chrome hood accents, chrome door handles and some badges.
Step inside though, and you are greeted with black or red full leather seating, illuminated sills, and piano black trimming. It also comes with a 450-watt Dimension premium audio system with eight speakers including a subwoofer, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, alloy pedals and an automatic up driver’s window. We are honestly staggered that Hyundai mentions that last part as part of the car’s equipment list, but here we are.
Mechanically, Hyundai Veloster RE:FLEX comes with the not at all special Gamma 1.6-liter, four-cylinder engine and a six-speed EcoShift dual-clutch transmission. It is limited to 3,000 units, and pricing is yet to be revealed.
