Ferrari 149M Project teaser 600x375 at Ferrari 149M Project Teased for February 12 Debut

Ferrari is about to debut something new and exciting – because they are never boring – as confirmed by this simple and straightforward teaser they released. Nobody’s sure yet what “149M Project” is exactly, but if you decipher that codename, you can make an educated guess.

Ferrari 149M Project is apparently a new version of the Ferrari California. We knew that there is such a thing in the work, as numerous test mules – some with turbo engines – have been spotted testing in and around Ferrari factory in Maranello.

What’s more, F149 is the codename of the current Ferrari California, and they usually use the letter “M” to distinguish a modified and enhanced version of an existing model; like the 575M which was an improved version of the 550.

So yes, Ferrari 149M Project is probably a new California boasting revised looks and almost certainly a new engine. Good news is, we don’t have to wait very long to find out for sure, as a February 12 debut has already been confirmed, to be followed y a public appearance at the Geneva Motor Show in March
