McLaren has already confirmed that they are going to launch a drop-top Spider version of the new 650S super car, but it is going to take a year or so for them to make it happen. You don’t have to wait that long to see what will it will look like though, because this new rendering here shows all.

Seeing as the hard-top version of the 650S is remarkably similar to the 12C we don’t see why the Spider would be any different than the 12C Spider. I mean apart from the headlights, the 650S is a slightly more powerful version of the 12C.

But, if the 12C Spider in any indication, McLaren 650S Spider could get a number of upgrades over the hard-top to become faster and more exciting. Of course, McLaren claims the car is already pretty damn exciting. But they said the same thing about the 12C, and we all know all about that. Turned out McLaren’s idea of excitement is very different than everybody else’s.

All that said, on the styling alone, McLaren 650S Spider appears to be a winner. Let’s wait and see if the Brits are also planning any mechanical changes or not.
