Hyundai is gearing up to launch an all-new version of the Sonata mid-size sedan in the Korean domestic market later this month. On this occasion, they released an official sketch of the car, partially revealing the new looks as a sort of teaser for the rest of the world.

The 2015 Hyundai Sonata is clearly influenced by the same design language that spawned the new Genesis sedan. It means the car has traded some of its curves – and it had a lot of it – for more sober lines that give the whole thing a more grown-up look.

The new Sonata is a showcase of Hyundai’s new corporate look, featuring a new and bold front grille and signature headlights. It is a good thing that Hyundai has finally found a design they like, because before this their cars were so far apart in terms of design, you wouldn’t believe they come from the same manufacturer. It was a trial and error sort of thing. Some design turn out successful, some didn’t.

Apart from new styling, 2015 Hyundai Sonata will also benefit from latest technology features from the firm’s Human Machine Interface (HMI). As with the previous generation, the new Sonata will be available with a range of four-cylinder engines including a hybrid powertrain.
