First Look: 2015 Hyundai Sonata

2015 Hyundai Sonata scooped 1 600x354 at First Look: 2015 Hyundai Sonata

The first pictures of the new generation 2015 Hyundai Sonata have hit the web, as an undisguised model gets scooped on the factory floor in Korea. Looking all grown up and featuring a more mature design, the new Sonata will go on sale in Korea very soon, followed by the American market over the next few months.

The design of the 2015 Hyundai Sonata is inspired to a great degree by the new Genesis sedan. You can clearly see the effect of the big car in the shape of the grille and the headlights. Back in the day Hyundai products would look so far apart from each apart you would think they belong to different manufacturers. Now though, it seems they have found a look they like and decided to stick with it.

The new generation Sonata is going to finally put an end to the reign of the 2.4 liter four-cylinder engine. Hyundai’s 1.6 liter four-cylinder turbo, found in cars like the Veloster Turbo, is a good candidate to replace it.

So far we haven’t seen any real picture of the interior, apart from an official rendering Hyundai released a few days ago. The cabin too appears to be a toned-down version of the Genesis, which is not a bad thing at all. As always, the car is going to be packed full of features, and the quality of the used materials is going to be pretty impressive.
