Jeep announced the launch of a new special edition package for the Wrangler, specifically designed for the European market. Called the Rubicon X, the package not only includes styling upgrades, it also offers a whole lot of extra kit that enhance the functionality of the rugged off-roader.
On the outside, Jeep Wrangler Rubicon X comes with a blacked-out seven-slot grille, black 17-inch wheels with Goodyear tires, Power Dome hood, body-colored hardtop, tinted windows, and Mopar fuel filler cap. The roof arrangement is the all-in-one Dual Top configuration, with a Sunrider soft-top and a three-piece Freedom Top.
Inside the cabin you find a leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated leather seats in black and red, and silver accents complementing the black dashboard. Standard is the UConnect multi-media infotainment and navigation system with 6.5-inch touchscreen.
Jeep Wrangler Rubicon X comes in both two- and four-door body styles and can be ordered with either a 200hp 2.8-liter turbo diesel unit or the 284hp 3.6-liter V6 Pentastar petrol. The standard transmission is a five-speed auto. Pricing will be announced closer to launch, which is in the second quarter of 2014.
