Ferrari’s top brass keep reiterating that they are never going to make anything but sports cars. That said, in recent years they have introduced a number of “firsts”, including folding metal roof, four-wheel-drive, hybrid powertrain, and – for the first time since the F40 – a turbocharged V8. So don’t be surprised if in the near future they came up with something like this, a four-door car.
This is a rendering of what a Ferrari sedan might look like. The Ferrari FF Four-Door is, apparently, based on the new Maserati Quattroporte – those hips don’t lie – and we have to say it doesn’t look half bad. The fact that the designer has used an FF is also interesting, as it would offer the best platform for such a car.
Ferrari FF is already a four-seater with a big boot, and it has four-wheel-drive which makes it versatile and probably the only Ferrari model that can be used in every situation regardless of the weather or road surface.
The idea of a four-door Ferrari super saloon sounds intriguing. But as Aston Martin learned with the Rapide, selling it might be a bit difficult.
