Hyundai announced the American price of the new 2015 Genesis sedan, offering incredibly good value. Here’s a car that offers you all the goodies you’d expect from a European luxury saloon, and much more besides, and it can be yours from just.
2015 Hyundai Genesis comes in three simple versions, two of them powered by a V6 engine and one by a V8. The base rear-wheel-drive V6 model is priced, as mentioned, $38,000. The same car with all-wheel-drive will set you back $40,000, and the V8 versions, which only comes in rear-wheel-drive format, will cost $51,500.
The standard equipment kit on all 2015 Hyundai Genesis models include 8-inch navigation with rearview camera, paddle shifters, hill hold control, power folding outside mirrors, driver knee airbag, power height adjustable passenger seat, power lumbar passenger seat, HD radio, 4.3-inch TFT LCD cluster display, Hyundai’s Blue Link telematics system, SiriusXM Travel Link, a telescoping steering wheel, rear 1-touch up power windows and rain sensing wipers.
The V6 engine is the familiar 3.6 liter unit, now developing 311 horsepower and 293 lb.-ft. of torque. The 5.0 liter TAU V8 is also a carryover from the previous model, and is tuned to make 420 horsepower and 383 lb. ft of torque.
As for the options, the V6 can be specified with the Signature Package ($4,000), Technology Package ($3,500), and Ultimate Package ($3,500), each of which adds more luxury, safety, and convenience features plus better sounds systems. The V8 gets the Ultimate Package ($3,250).
