So after what felt like a decade, Ferrari is finally letting journalists behind the wheel of the LaFerrari hyper car. As is usually the case with Ferrari press drives, the test includes a spot of light driving around the beautiful Maranello countryside, followed by a few laps of the Fiorano Test track.

The first Ferrari LaFerrari review video we have for you today is from Autocar with Steve Sutcliffe at the wheel, which means you get a lot of smoky drift action. Steve is totally mesmerized by the experience of driving the LaFerrari that he is actually nervous. But still, he manages to pull off some perfect drifts. And it is pretty awesome seeing a 1.2 million Euro hyper car go sideways.

The next video comes from Evo Magazine, with Richard Meaden in charge of LaFerrari. He is obviously not as aggressive as Steve and doesn’t push the car nowhere near its limits. And while Steve finds the car almost too user-friendly, Richard is kind of intimidated by the force and noise and the character of the thing.

Both reviewers conclude that Ferrari LaFerrari was indeed worth the wait, and that it is unbelievably good at what it does. The big question, of course, is this: is LaFerrari better than the McLaren P1? The guys avoid answering that one, and postpone it to when they drove both of them back to back. They might even bring the Porsche 918 along, just for fun!
