Along with the new V8 Vantage GT, Aston Martin will reveal at the 2014 New York Auto Show the new DB9 Carbon Edition. Available as Coupe and Volante (convertible), the DB9 Carbon comes in two flavours of Carbon Black and Carbon White. You can also create your own Carbon edition using Aston’s colour palette for extra exclusivity.
Apart from the paint job both Black and White Aston Martin DB9 Carbon models share a number of exterior features including carbon fibre side strakes, rear lamp infills and black meshes and window surrounds reinforcing the powerful visual themes. Optionally, you can have the front splitter, rear diffuser and mirror cap/arm features finished in exposed carbon as well.
Main interior features include black styling theme with a choice of accent colours in line with the caliper shade, bespoke sill plaques with the Carbon logo, and various carbon fiber trim pieces.
Aston Martin DB9 Carbon Edition models are powered by the firm’s AM11 V12 engine, developing 510 horsepower and 457 lb ft of torque. The DB9 is based on the ‘Gen4’ VH architecture which delivers the handling characteristics of a sports car with the comfort and supple ride of a classic GT – at least in theory.
Prices for the Aston Martin DB9 Carbon Edition start from $199,995.
