Coys’ Auction announced an interesting new addition to its lot for their Monaco auction on Friday 9th May. It’s a 1972 Ferrari Dino 246GT, which is an interesting item on its own. But this one has something else going for it as well, as it used to belong to a well-known celebrity.

This car is Keith Richards 1972 Ferrari Dino, one that he kept for fourteen years until 1986, and drove for over 25,000 miles. This Dino was purchased by the Rolling Stones rock star in California and then shipped to the UK in 1975 where it was registered to his address in Munro Terrace in Chelsea, London, and assigned the UK registration number GYL 157N.

Since 1986 Keith Richards 1972 Ferrari Dino has been in a Japanese car collection and have not been driven at all. Richards’ ownership of the car and the mileage are confirmed in a letter accompanying the car from the Rolling Stones’ manager Alan Dunn.

Besides this special Ferrari Dino, Coy’s Monaco auction includes another covetable item, a 1950 Cisitalia Abarth 204 A Spyder (pictured below). Legendary Italian motorcycle and race car driver Tazio Nuvolari has raced this car on at least two occasions; first in a Targa Florio race, and then Palermo Monte Pellegrino hillclimb. It is estimated to fetch €1,400,000 to €1,800,000.
