Porsche Cayman GT4 Caught on Film

Porsche Cayman GT4 at Porsche Cayman GT4 Caught on Film

Porsche is secretly developing a new and more potent version of the Cayman called GT4. The first prototype has now been caught on video, strolling down the countryside in a nice German village. The new mid-engined sports car will sit above the Cayman GTs in terms of performance.

Porsche Cayman GT4 is intended to be a more hard-core, track-focused version of the nice and cuddly Cayman S. That big, fixed rear wing is a telltale sign of what the GT4 is all about. It’ll probably get a few extra horses, and some of the luxury will be stripped off to make it lighter.

All that means Porsche Cayman GT4 could be as fast, maybe even faster, than a 911 Carrera. Now, Porsche is not the sort of company to shoot themselves in the leg, but there is no denying the Cayman is getting so good these days, it is getting hard to justify buying a 911. Think of this Cayman as a mid-engined 911 that looks better, costs less, and drives just as well as a Carrera S. Who wouldn’t prefer that to a 911?
