A few months ago all Fiat subsidiaries publicly announced their five-year plan and revealed what new models we can expect them to make. Well, all of them except Ferrari. Their plan is secret. Or rather it was until Automobile Magazine uncovered it.
According to the information obtained by the magazine, lots of cool stuff are in the pipeline at Ferrari factory, including an open-top LaFerrari Spider, a turbocharged 458 plus an entry-level version with a V6 engine, and new versions of the F12 Berlinetta and FF.
The biggest news here is of course the LaFerrari Spider which is reportedly set for a 2015 debut alongside the LaFerrari XX track car. The Spider will be limited to just 50 units, each priced at nearly $3 million USD. The XX will be limited to 30 units and probably cost about the same, as it will rival the McLaren P1 GTR which we know costs $3.3 million.
As for the 458, there is no doubt that its next version will be engine-wise downsized and turbocharged. But more drastic changes are planned for this car, including the launch of a smaller model – an entry-level 458, if you will – powered by a turbocharged V6 engine. It could be called the 456.
