Jaguar F-Type Project 7 Headed for Goodwood Debut

Jaguar F Type Project 7 0 600x339 at Jaguar F Type Project 7 Headed for Goodwood Debut

This is the mysterious car Jaguar’s Special Operations unit has been teasing us with for the past couple of years. It is called the Project 7, and it’s a limited edition production version of the Project 7 concept car revealed last year.

If we cut right to the chase, Jaguar F-Type Project 7 is powered by a 575PS and 680Nm version of the 5.0-litre supercharged V8 petrol engine that powers the F-Type V8S, which gives it the capability to go from 0 to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds.  But power is only part of what’s good about the Project 7.

The real appeal of this car is the way it looks, what with the Speedster-style body, the chopped windscreen and the D-type-inspired fairing. The car benefits from a bespoke carbon-fiber aerodynamic package, specially-tuned suspension, and carbon ceramic brakes.

Jaguar F-Type Project 7 offers a substantially different driving experience compared to the standard car. Apart from all of the above, the car is also equipped with Torque Vectoring by Braking which will have a profound effect on the way it corners. The employment of racing seats in this car is quite apt, as it can out-corner your body!

The production Jaguar F-Type Project 7 is strictly limited to 250 units and it will be offered in five metallic colours: Ultra Blue, Italian Racing Red, British Racing Green (all with white decal options), Ultimate Black and a new colour, Glacier White (both with grey decal options). Pricing is yet to be revealed.
